1950s Dynasty Silk Brocade Robe Coat with Mink Collar

Hong Kong tailoring at its most glamorous: a rare 1950s Dynasty robe coat in rich burgundy silk satin brocade, woven with gilt scrolling vines, fans, and goblets in lavender, soft blue and rose. A plush champagne mink shawl collar frames the neckline, and the fitted bodice, three-quarter sleeves and wide self-fabric sash tie in a big back bow over a full, swirling skirt. The channel-stitched cuffs and sash ends add the kind of detail you only find in well-made export pieces. It's fully lined in butter-yellow satin, and the silhouette works as a coat over a cocktail dress or as a statement piece on its own. In overall excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.

 Please note: our garments are usually clipped in the back to fit the dress form, this causes the hem to look uneven.
