An ultra chic, early 1960's dress in navy and grey silk, with the bias-cut fabric playing the stripes against each other at the bodice, waist, and skirt for a bold op-art effect. Dolman sleeves, a jewel neckline, and a self-fabric sash that ties into a soft knot at the waist give it a polished, architectural shape. Convenient hidden side pockets set into the skirt seams. The interior is entirely lined in navy silk organza. Looks designer to me- its screams Bill Blass or Geoffrey Beene. Sold at Portland's exclusive Lipman's store which carried designer fashion for the local clientele. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
