Exceptional antique Chinese export robe in ivory silk satin, hand-embroidered across the entire surface in polychrome silk threads. The densely worked decoration features large peony heads in red, gold, and blush alongside chrysanthemums, prunus blossoms, and scattered “Hundred Antiques” motifs — scholar’s rocks, musical instruments, and ribboned scrolls — characteristic of pieces made for the Western market. Hem and sleeve borders are faced with separately embroidered floral panels; the side vents are crowned by elaborate scroll appliqués in concentric bands of blue, teal, and ivory, an unusually fine constructional detail. The interior is lined in a swirling ivory faille. 
The cut follows the standard export form: wide kimono sleeves, a small standing collar edged in black silk cord, frog closures, and an inverted-V front hem panel. This combination of loose Western robe silhouette with traditional Chinese ornament is typical of Canton and Shanghai export work produced for Western buyers as theatrical robes, boudoir coats, or collector’s pieces.  This is an exceptional example of Chinese export embroidery work, most likely dating to the late Qing dynasty through the early Republic period, circa 1900–1930. In very good condition, clean and ready to wear or display.
