Mexican Pin-Tucked Cotton Dress with Lace Insets, 1970s

A romantic black cotton dress built entirely on texture—fine horizontal pin-tucking covers the bodice and tiered skirt, broken up by bands of openwork lace at the neckline, waist, and skirt tiers. Deep V neckline edged in lace, short kimono-style sleeves also lace-trimmed. Fitted through the bodice with a sheer lace inset waistband opening into a full, tiered skirt with a scalloped lace hem. Metal zipper up the back. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear. Photographed both with and without a crinoline.
