An exquisite example of mid-century bridal elegance, this 1950s ballet-length wedding dress by Cahill of Beverly Hills captures the era’s signature blend of romance and refinement. The sculpted bodice is fashioned from ivory lace over satin, shaped with precise seaming and overlaid at the neckline with finely pleated illusion tulle that sweeps into a softly off-the-shoulder portrait line. A delicate lace appliqué panel traces the décolletage, adding depth and dimension while maintaining the gown’s airy lightness.

Short lace sleeves balance the fitted waist, from which a full, bell-shaped skirt unfolds in layered tulle. Bands of scalloped lace appliqué encircle the skirt, creating gentle movement and visual rhythm above the ballet-length hem. The back mirrors the front’s elegance with a continuation of lace over taffeta and a central zipper closure, while the buoyant skirt falls in soft, cloudlike volume. I have photographed her with a full hoop style petticoat underneath. While this dress is missing the Cahill label I have had this same design before and know it to be a Cahill. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.

Fits like an extra small, there is some seam allowance available inside the bodice to let out an inch. 

Label: none remaining, however I have had this same style dress before and know it to be by Cahill.

Condition: excellent, freshly cleaned and ready to wear. Minor signs of wear typical of age.
