Presenting a rare piece of fashion history from the height of the flapper era. Made from deep luxurious cerulean blue panne velvet, this decadent 1920’s cocoon like evening cape features a dramatic embroidered gelatin sequin panel around the shoulders and a rolled ruffle collar. Adorned with a carved button at the neck and fully lined in silk crepe, this cape in an heirloom treasure to be cherished for generations to come.  From the legendary J L Hudson department store in Detroit. The perfect piece for an evening at the opera or any fabulous occasion. 

Fits many with an open waist and hips. In very good condtion with age in mind. Some water stains in the lining. See pictures. The back of the cape has areas of minor discoloration. I have included detail pictures that are part of the condition report. This garment is over 100 years old and is an antique. Part of the history and character is represented by the minor signs of wear. It has had a glamorous past life and is a testament to the quality and care that went into it's creation a century age. We have restored and repaired her to the best of our ability.
