This exquisite late 1940s evening gown captures the era’s refined elegance with a dramatic interplay of silhouette and embellishment. Crafted from fluid black rayon, the gown falls in a long, sweeping skirt that moves gracefully with every step. The bodice is fitted to flatter the waistline, while the softly puffed short sleeves and squared neckline frame the shoulders with understated drama. Rows of luminous gold sequins, meticulously hand-applied in horizontal bands, add a striking decorative element. Their placement emphasizes the tailored cut of the bodice, drawing the eye to the sculpted waist before cascading into the fluid drape of the skirt. Original metal zipper up the side, and original shoulder pads are still intact. In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
