The sleeves are extra fabulous —lush layers of ruffled taffeta forming bold, dimensional puffs that echo the flamenco-inspired influences popular in the mid-to-late 1930s. A fitted waist is defined with a matching taffeta sash, enhancing the long, elegant line of the skirt. A V-neckline frames the décolletage, while the back reveals one of the gown’s most alluring features: a plunging V inset of sheer red netting. 

True to 1930s construction, the dress fastens with a series of side snaps—an authentic, hand-finished closure typical of gowns prior to the widespread use of metal zippers. The lower skirt is trimmed with matching ruched taffeta accents arranged in a dramatic chevron, emphasizing movement and creating a rhythmic flutter as the wearer walks or dances. Condition: very good overall with signs of wear and use. Very faint spots throughout, particularly near the bottom of the hem. Small breaks in the red netting in the back. Flaws only really noticeable upon close inspection. Wears and presents beautifully. Freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
