A spectacular 1950's opera-length evening coat in an antique Japanese brocade on a cream ground, woven with metallic gold. Oversized chrysanthemums and peonies in rust, burgundy, saffron and sage bloom across it, alongside plum blossoms and dusty blue scrolling cloud medallions.  It features a shawl collar, long sleeves with deep turn-back cuffs, and a single ornate gold frog closure at the neck. It hangs open in a relaxed A-line and is lined in cream taffeta, with the Josephine Matthey of Honolulu woven label inside. In overall excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear. 

I just tried this coat on and it is even more fabulous in person!

Condition: overall excellent, a few small areas where the brocade is starting to fray, see close up pictures. Only noticed upon close inspection, wears and presents beautifully.
