Elegant 1940's Black Velvet Swing Coat With Beading & Corde / SM
👋 A B O U T
An ultra glamorous 1940s evening coat in rich black velvet, with a gently flared body and softly gathered shoulders. The entire front, hem, and pointed collar are worked in intricate scrolls of black soutache corde and faceted jet-black glass beads. Every inch of the embroidery is hand-stitched, and it catches the light beautifully. The curved, scalloped front opening is trimmed in beaded cord, and the beaded border continues around the back hem. There are two slash pockets, and a single carved black glass button closes at the neck. It's fully lined in black satin crêpe with wool backing and has a National Coat and Suit Industry Recovery Board union label. In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
