Vintage Genuine Crocodile Handbag, c. 1950s

A gorgeous 1950's handbag in genuine crocodile skin, showing the classic scute pattern — bold, clearly defined belly scales down the center panel flanked by smaller flank scales at the sides, distinguishing it from embossed leather or alligator. The hide is a rich variegated brown with a warm caramel center and darker chocolate sides, retaining excellent sheen and suppleness. Double top handles, gold-tone hardware, and a twist-lock closure at the frame. Suede-lined interior with a zippered pocket and fitted center divider- original hand mirror still in place. In overall excellent condition.
