An absolutely fabulous two-piece ensemble from the 1950s, composed in crisp cherry red taffeta. The strapless dress has a draped, ruched bodice with a soft cowl-front neckline and boned construction for structure and shape. The fitted waist gives way to a full skirt finished with a sculptural taffeta bow at the hem. The matching swing coat features a notched  double collar, full balloon sleeves gathered at the elbow, and the same voluminous taffeta body — designed to swing freely over the dress beneath. Dress zips up the back with original metal zipper. In overall excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.

Condition:  overall excellent, freshly cleaned and ready to wear. Minor signs of wear typical of age. A few faint spots in the skirt and near the back of the collar of the coat, only noticed upon close inspection and hidden well.
