1950s Lilli Diamond of California Ice Blue Dahlia Brocade Cocktail Dress & Coat Set

A glamorous 1950's evening set by Lilli Diamond of California, in an ice blue dahlia-patterned brocade. The sheath dress has a square, straight neckline, wide set-in straps, a fitted bodice with princess seeams, and a slim skirt with a kick pleat at the back hem. It closes with the original metal zipper up the center back. The matching swing coat has a dramatic oversized shawl collar, elbow-length dolman sleeves, and a curved, asymmetrical front hem that falls open over the dress. It is fully lined in a soft lavender pink taffeta, a lovely contrast against the ice blue shell. Both pieces share the same self-fabric jacquard brocade, woven in a large-scale dahlia floral. The ultimate Hollywood starlet ensemble!

 In overall excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.

Condition:  very good overall , minor signs of wear typical of age. Faint color fade along the sleeve and side of the coat from light exposure, only noticed upon close inspection. Wears and presents beautifully.
