Peony pink and petal-soft, this 1950's party dress by Suzy Perette captures the New Look ideal at its most romantic. The sleeveless bodice and dramatically full skirt are constructed in blush pink organza over taffeta, adorned throughout with alternating bands of ivory Chantilly lace and pink rick-rack trim — a combination that reads simultaneously sweet and sophisticated. The silhouette is immaculate: a fitted bodice cinching to a sharply defined waist before releasing into a full skirt with the ideal 1950s proportion. The skirt is lined with a crinoline to achieve the fullness, zips up the back with original metal zipper. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear. 

*Suzy Perette occupied a significant place in mid-century American fashion as a ready-to-wear house explicitly conceived to translate Christian Dior’s couture vocabulary for the American market. Operating under license from Dior’s New York office, Perette delivered the wasp waist, full skirt, and refined femininity of the New Look to a broader clientele — making this dress a genuine piece of that design legacy.
