A classic 1940s black rayon dress with all the era’s signature sharpness — structured, padded shoulders, a fitted bodice gathered at the waist, and cap sleeves that give a clean, tailored line. A wide self-tie belt cinches the waist and forms a soft bow at the back, spilling into a draped cascade over the skirt. The back neckline has a keyhole opening secured with a hook and eye, and the dress zips up the side with its original metal zipper. A rhinestone bow brooch (shown for styling, sold separately) shows just how well this dress plays with sparkle at the shoulder. Endlessly wearable — the kind of little black dress equally at home at a cocktail party or a work place. In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
