A wonderful, jaunty tilt hat in fine white straw, styled with a shallow flat crown and a saucer brim meant to perch forward over one brow. The brim edge is finished with a box-pleated caramel grosgrain ribbon frill, and a matching grosgrain band circles the crown. Fine brown veiling drapes loosely across the brim. The stand out feature is the chestnut size hat pin that secures the hat in place. Interior shows the straw crown lined with camel grosgrain ribbon crossed at the center back. A charming period accessory piece, built for a forward, asymmetric tilt rather than a centered fit. In overall excellent condition.
