Gorgeous early 1960's red and black abstract plaid party dress by legendary designer James Galanos. Galanos dressed celebrities and first ladies and his designs were expensive and luxurious. Only the finest fabrics were used in his creations along with couture finishes and details. This piece is a perfect example of his work. Crafted from this wonderful silk satin and velvet fabric in a dramatic dimensional abstract plaid. Featuring a square neckline and back, short sleeves and hidden side pockets. Fully lined in red silk. Zips up the back with original metal zipper. In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
