A fabulous 1950's Jo Collins circle skirt in black crochet lace over a hot pink rayon taffeta underlayer.  The open honeycomb mesh is punctuated by bold floral crochet medallions arranged in horizontal tiers, with a scalloped lace hem. Fitted black grosgrain waistband, with original metal zipper up the side. Modeled here with a strapless bustier, not original to the skirt but available to purchase separately. 

Jo Collins was a celebrated California sportswear and cocktail label of the 1950s, known for bold color combinations and theatrical separates that captured the era’s exuberant party spirit. Their skirts in particular are highly sought by collectors today.
