An absolutely gorgeous 1930s black wool felt tilt hat, worn at a sharp forward angle secured under the hair by a felt covered wire ring. The crown is entirely obscured by a lavish floral arrangement: massed silk violets and hydrangeas in deep purple and lavender, blush silk roses, olive velvet leaves, and a sweeping cage of emerald green net that frames the face. A rare and pristine example of 1930's millinery magic.
