Gorgeous late 1950's Alfred Shaheen Hawaiian sundress. Crafted in vibrant turquoise polished cotton, the dress is adorned with a hand-screened paisley motif in metallic gold and white — a hallmark of Shaheen’s celebrated textile artistry — scattered across the skirt and bodice, with a more densely patterned border print framing both the bust flap and the hem in an intricate medallion design.
The structured bodice is fitted with delicate spaghetti straps that tie at the shoulder, while the back features elastic sides that add both comfort and a flattering, corseted silhouette. The full pleated skirt moves effortlessly, finishing with that bold decorative border at the hem for a perfectly polished final flourish. Zips up the back with original zipper. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
