A breathtaking example of 1950's evening wear, this stunning cocktail dress features a smoke-mauve corded lace overlay atop nude taffeta lining, creating a dimensional, smoldering effect against skin. The bodice is fully boned in a corset construction, with an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline framed by lace cap sleeves. The full circle skirt is generously lined for structure and movement. The quality of the corded lace — heavy floral and scroll motifs on fine net — along with the internal boning and couture-level finishing suggests demi-couture or couture origin, though the designer label is missing. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
