If you’re picturing the quintessential 1950s wedding dress, this is the dress. Designed by William Cahill of Beverly Hills — whose Cahill LTD label became the foremost American bridal name of the mid-20th century, dressing brides in couture-level handwork and imported luxury fabrics — this gown is pure fairytale romance.

The fitted bodice is worked in the most delicate floral lace, its scalloped sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves edged in the same intricate pattern. From the basque waist, an impossibly full tulle skirt blooms out over crinoline, with scalloped lace medallions cascading front and back like flower petals unfurling across the tulle — the kind of skirt made for twirling down the aisle. The ballet-length hem keeps it playful and modern for a ’50s gown, perfect for showing off a pair of heels.

Fully lined throughout, with the original metal zipper still closing smoothly up the center back. Shown with a pearl choker for styling only — not included. Simply one of the prettiest 1950s wedding gowns we’ve had come through the shop. In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.

Condition: excellent overall, freshly cleaned and ready to wear. Minor signs of wear typical of age. The interior of the dress shows evidence of previous alterations made for the original owner, this is to be expected with most vintage gowns. 

All of our pieces are thoroughly inspected and repaired by our in house professional seamstress prior to shipping to ensure your garment is in ready to wear condition upon arrival. We ship our items out on Thursdays. Please allow extra time for wedding dresses and large orders.
