Crafted in midnight black silk velvet, the gown is sculpted to the body with a statuesque column silhouette and a subtle side slit for graceful movement.

The neckline is a masterpiece in itself — a regal, Egyptian-inspired collar lavishly encrusted with gold metallic embroidery, sequins, faceted crystals, and bugle beads in an ornate, symmetrical motif. This intricately hand-beaded embellishment continues over the shoulders, creating a dazzling contrast against the deep velvet body. The gown closes with a back zipper and is fully lined. 

Mr. Blackwell, born Richard Sylvan Selzer, rose to prominence dressing Hollywood’s elite and socialites in the 1950s and ’60s, celebrated for his impeccable tailoring and bold sense of theatricality.
