An elegant example of 1940's bridal fashion, this iconic gown is made of fluid rayon jersey, a fabric prized during the era for it's graceful drape and comfortable feel. The bodice features an artfully pleated bodice that flatters the figure and highlights the waist. Original metal zipper up the side. The sleeves are padded and pleated. The skirt is gathered and flows in an aline to the hem. Perfect for dancing in. This timeless treasure came to us from the family of the original owner and came with a matching belt. I have photographed it both with and without the belt. In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.

Condition:  overall excellent, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear. Minor signs of wear typical of age. The belt has yellowed with age, I personally prefer the gown worn without the belt.
