Rare and sought after 40's era two piece blouse and skirt set from the Chiapas region of Mexico. This traditional set is made of ivory tulle and is lavishly embroidered with bold and vibrant flowers. Featuring a silk rayon bodice under a beautiful flounce of embroidery, trimmed in intricate wool petit point at the collar. A hidden tie allows for the neckline to be adjusted. The skirt has a high waist and snaps at the sides. Tiers of flowers accented by black scallops. Even prettier in person!  A wearable work of art.

Condition: very good overall, minor signs of wear typical of age. Small holes in the tulle skirt, some loose threads. We will restore prior to shipping. Wears and presents beautifully.
