Spectacular rare poppy print silk evening gown by designer Fira Benenson. This is a museum worthy piece by a celebrated designer who counted Grace Kelly as one of her clients. I could definitely see Grace wearing this gown. 

This rare 1950's couture evening gown is made from luscious silk taffeta with poppies against an ivory background for a stunning effect. An internal corset and pleated back create a sculpted silhouette, while the full-length design provides sophistication for any special occasion or red carpet event. The bust is defined in a way that makes it feel contemporary and sexy. Fully lined, in overall excellent condition, with minor signs of wear typical of age. Be sure to examine the close up pictures to appreciate all the couture touches: hand stitching, extra seam allowance, the original owners last name. Such a special piece.
