What can I say about this dress other than it's one of the prettiest I have ever seen. Rare 1950's black and ivory silk cocktail dress by legendary designer William Travilla. Travilla is best known for designing costumes for Marilyn Monroe in 8 of her films as well as two of the most iconic dresses in film history. This is a rare opportunity to own one of his iconic pieces. 

The dress features a silk jersey bodice and dropped waist, a full pleated silk organza skirt and lace trimmed cuffs and dramatic collar that dips dangerously low in the back. The entire dress is lined. Original metal zipper up the back. In excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
