Rare 1950's blue violet couture cocktail dress with exquisite hand stitched scalloped scale like velvet accented with tulle and iridescent rhinestones. I have never seen such incredible fabric in my life. I wish I knew who was responsible for this creation but unfortunately I do not. The hand stitched seams suggest it is couture. This dress features a boned interior (we replaced the broken boning), grosgrain straps, a side metal zipper and is fully lined. It has been taken out at the side seams to accommodate a larger size. It would be possible to take it back in. The dress is in overall excellent condition, minor signs of wear. Freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.

Condition: overall excellent, freshly dy cleaned and ready to wear. Minor signs of wear typical of age. Alterations made to the bodice side seams, it appears the previous owner had it let out by a seamstress. Can easily be taken back in if you would prefer it to be a smaller size.
