Dramatic 1920's Black Silk Net Evening Dress With Embroidery / Medium
👋 A B O U T
Absolutely stunning 1920's flapper era evening dress in immaculate condition. Straight from a local estate here in Portland this incredible collection has been hiding in a cedar chest for decades. It thrills me to be able to share it with you!
This 1920's dress is made of multiple layers, the outer being a sheer black silk english net, the interior is a truly marvelous layer of elaborate embroidery on a nude net background. Represented are birds among flora and fauna. The quality of the work is just beyond. The final layer is a pale pink silk slip. Somehow this dress has held up remarkably well, with little sign of wear and plenty of wear left in it. It slips on over the head, a decorative silk rose accents the waist. Bra straps hooks at the shoulders. The skirt is a high-low and sheer enough to showcase the embroidery underneath. Again, this dress is in excellent condition, beautifully preserved and ready to wear.
