Dramatic and rare early 1950's (I think, might be late 40's) navy blue wool gabardine suit by Lilli Ann. Featuring the ultimate hourglass silhouette with wasp like waist and accentuated bust line. Diagonal buttons extend down the front of the jacket and are repeated in the skirt. The dramatic white cotton pique collar is frames the bust and makes the waist look even smaller. Very similar to the suit worn by Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. 

This set is in excellent condition, freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.
