Impressionist 1950's Peggy Hunt Illusion Bodice Cotton Cocktail Dress / SM
A B O U T
Hands down one of the prettiest dresses by Peggy Hunt I have ever seen! I have been a fan of Peggy for decades. Known as the queen of the illusion neckline, Hunt was one of the first designers to use sheer "nude" fabric to enhance and decorate the neckline of dresses. This particularly charming dress from the 50's showcases her genius perfectly. Featuring a sequin embellished Peter Pan collar above a fitted waist and full flowing skirt. A self fabric waist sash closes in the back with a bow. The interior is lined and includes a cotton organdy petticoat to showcase the skirt. In excellent condition, freshly cleaned and ready to wear.
