This stunning coat by Samuel Martin, Ltd. of Seattle exemplifies the streamlined sophistication of early 1980s American outerwear. Cut from a luxuriously soft 100% wool in a warm taupe tone, the coat features a sculptural cocoon silhouette with dolman sleeves, side seam pockets, and a high funnel collar that fastens with two buttons at the neck. The design falls loosely from the shoulders, creating a fluid, modernist line while ensuring comfort and ease of wear.

The construction is unlined, allowing the fine quality of the wool to remain lightweight yet insulating. The wool is so soft I thought it was cashmere!  Big side pockets and an open flowing fit. In overall excellent condition, clean and ready to wear.
