Dramatic early 1950's late 40's New Look era jet black silk cocktail suit with wasp waist and embellished peplum by Hattie Carnegie. The jacket features shoulder pads, covered buttons and Victorian inspired petal shaped peplum. Fully lined in rayon crepe. The skirt zips up the side and sits at the natural waist. Wears and presents beautifully. A true work of art.

Condition: Excellent overall, some minor stress to the silk at the seams of the jacket, the arm pits have the slightest trace of deodorant marks. See last pictures which have been lightened to show details.
