šŸ‘‹ A B O U T

Exquisite 1950's couture evening dress by highly influential mid century designer Hattie Carnegie. Carnegie herself could not sew but she employed such luminaries as Pauline Trigere, Norman Norell, Jean Louis and James Galanos to execute her designs.

This brilliant rose pink silk satin evening dress features a sculptural strapless fitted bodice, a wasp-like cinched waist and dramatic full pleated petal skirt. Expertly constructed with an interior corset bodice to provide support and structure. Beautiful folds and pleats in the skirt gives it it's petal like shape and form. Fully lined interior with original metal zipper up the back. Please excuse my white petticoat peeking out underneath, it is not an actual part of the dress. In excellent condition, a rare and museum worthy piece. The color, the style, the designer and condition make this a valuable investment piece that is sure to increase in value.Ā
