A once in a lifetime kind of find that I am so excited to present. From the private estate of a prolific life long antique garment collector comes this rare dated 1919 court presentation dress. Stored away in an archival box and tissue paper for decades, this museum worthy ensemble has been expertly preserved for decades. Made by Maison de Modes in France governed Shanghai by some of the most skilled dress makers in the world. This dress may have been worn as a wedding dress as well and would certainly make an unforgettable one today. 

Made from luxurious ivory silk charmeuse this Lanvin inspired dress features wire panniers at the hips and is trimmed in silver metallic lace. The dress is hand embroidered with palms symbolizing peace, victory and everlasting life. Hand bound buttons up the back. The magnificent Watteau train attaches at the top of the shoulders and is 10 ft long. Both the train and dress are lined in silk organza. The train is also trimmed in over 20 feet of incredible antique metallic lace.

Condition: Excellent, for age with minor signs of wear consistent with age. A few small spots that are only noticed upon close inspection. One arm pit shows perspiration. The edges of the metallic lace on the train have darkened with time. See close up pictures and message us with any questions. This piece is over 100 years old, please be familiar with antique clothing before purchasing.
