A rare and enchanting antique handbag, exquisitely hand-embroidered in silk with a romantic pastoral scene of dancing cherubs and flowing drapery. Rendered in a soft, painterly palette, the finely shaded needlework reflects exceptional craftsmanship and turn-of-the-century artistry. The reverse is equally decorative with delicate floral embroidery.

Finished with a silk moire lining and an original oval interior mirror—an elegant hallmark of late Victorian and early Edwardian luxury accessories. I was thrilled to discover a pair of tickets from 1931 tucked away inside the bag.  A collectible and visually striking piece, perfect for display or the most discerning antique textile collection.
