Black velvet gives the dress its interest: a banded scoop neckline, a rectangular velvet-framed placket with four velvet-covered buttons, and matching velvet bands and buttons on the short sleeves. The skirt is finely knife-pleated and moves beautifully. Closes with the original metal zipper up the back. So beautiful on.
